The fate of Nahas 'The Doctor'
Mugello - the fastest rider Jorge Lorenzo finished in second free practice session of the Italian MotoGP. Misfortune experienced teammate, Valentino Rossi, who suffered a serious accident.
As reported previously, Rossi called Autosport accident serious enough at the Italian MotoGP free practice, at the Mugello circuit on Saturday (06/05/2010). Rossi fell off his mount after failing to control the motor in the back of a curve to the left. As a result, the Fiat Yamaha rider was thrown into the air before finally hitting the earth.
Seven-time world champion in the MotoGP class was seen in pain while lying in the gravel. He was immediately rushed to the nearest medical center for treatment.
Rossi's accident did not affect the performance of Lorenzo. After yesterday's sitting in second place, this time the pemuncak standings are managed to be the fastest with a best time of one minute 49.282 seconds.
Honda's success surpassed Lorenzo, Andrea Dovizioso, who came in second place with a record time of one minute 49.620 seconds best. While sitting in the top three is another Honda rider, Dani Pedrosa, who recorded the fastest time of one minute 49.701 seconds.
Despite the accident, Rossi was still able to put himself in fourth position. He beat out Randy de Puniet in positions five and Casey Stoner in sixth.
Four other drivers who complete the top 10 is Colin Edwards, Ben Spies, Nicky Hayden and Loris Capirossi.
