Valentino Rossi on Inter Milan’s Champions League success

Valentino Rossi is renowned as an Inter Milan fan and the Italian was celebrating last night when his football team won the Champions League final in Madrid, beating German side Bayern Munich to lift the European Cup for the first time in over four decades. The MotoGP World Champion was delighted with the result, as he explained.

“It’s great and emotional because it’s been 45 years since Inter won it, so it’s fantastic,” stated Rossi in the attached free video. “Congratulations to all the players and to (manager) Jose Mourinho, (chairman) Massimo Moratti and all the people of Inter, they’ve given us a great victory.”

“This was a special year because Inter also won the Italian Championship and the Italian Cup, so we are the best in Europe!”

Starting the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France from pole position this afternoon, Rossi is focused and hopes his team’s success will be repeated by him on track.

He added: “It’s possible I’ll have some extra motivation!”
