Thus, Hattrick Stoner scored his own in front of the public since before he became king at the last two seasons.

As for Rossi, finishing in the order of two was enough for him to make way into the world champion and defend this most prestigious title. The reason, the nearest rival and teammate, Jorge Lorenzo, fell after the start and failed to continue the race.

Thus, Rossi is now 38 points ahead of Lorenzo. With the remaining two series races and contested maximum points is 50, Rossi need only 12 more points to ensure themselves a championship in 2009.

The road race

Pedrosa started the race with a highly convincing. Start from the top three, Spain was directly pebalap leapt to the forefront.

Meanwhile, in the back row in contact between Lorenzo and Nicky Hayden. When will veer to the right, Lorenzo the start of the sequence of four tries for a bit to the outside. But at the same time, Hayden who broke from the order of the seven had been slightly in front of the motor so that the contact between the two is inevitable pebalap.

Lorenzo is touching the back of the motor Hayden tried to control the bike, but he can not help that eventually collapsed and failed to continue the race-Lorenzo became the only failed pebalap finish in this race. While Hayden, who was forced to leave the track and slid into the gravel, still able to continue racing.

Back to the front row the race, Stoner did not take that long to take over the course of battle. This host Pebalap passed Pedrosa, who was unable to maintain performance, which directly fell to third order.

Thus, there was a tight battle between Stoner and Rossi to fight the number one podium Australian GP. On the 5th lap, "The Doctor" to cut the fastest lap for Ducati distance with the champ, so they are very close distance. Nevertheless, Rossi remains difficult to pass Stoner scored a Hattrick determined with Ducati at Phillip Island.

As the race entered the last lap-lap, Rossi did not seem too eager to catch Stoner. Six times world champion MotoGP is trying to play "safe" because the finish in any order of the two he already was on track given the world champion Lorenzo not get points in this series.

While the top three, Pedrosa seemed "uncomfortable" because of Alex de Angelis who had followed him falling further behind. However, the achieved results are not sufficient to maintain all three positions in the standings because Stoner managed menyalipnya and now six points ahead.

With this result, the Malaysian Grand Prix next week will be the moment of determining who will become world champion. Full been held Rossi because he only needs to have at least 12 points, while Lorenzo needed a miracle to be a world champion.
